The training record is your learning diary which documents your progress and achievement of competencies listed in your training plan. It allows you and others to monitor your progress. The training record: may be kept in any format that the training organisation considers appropriate.

At the most basic level, a training plan is simply a document that details a training program. It includes the goals of the training, learning outcomes and how training will be delivered.

Apprenticeship training consists of basic training ( theoretical instructions ) and practical on the job training at actual work place. Any individual, who has completed 14 years of age, is physically fit and having minimum educational qualification prescribed for a trade can undergo apprenticeship training.

Apprenticeship models of learning are based on the principle that students participate in more advanced individual activities and thus stepwise get part of the respective community of practice.
