The Colorado River Indian Tribes is located in western Arizona at Parker, 189 miles from Phoenix. The Reservation spans the Colorado River and has land in Arizona (La Paz County) and California (San Bernardino).

The Colorado River Indian Tribes (C.R.I.T.) funds eligible tribal member students through Tribal and Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) funds, who are pursuing a college degree such as an Associate's (Arts or Science), Bachelor's, Master's, or a Doctorate at an accredited college or university.

The Reservation is nearly 300,000 acres, including 90 miles of river shoreline along the Colorado River. The river is primarily used for irrigated farming. The primary community on the Reservation is located in Parker, Arizona.

The CRIT Reservation was created in 1865 by the Federal Government for “Indians of the Colorado River and its tributaries,” originally for the Mohave and Chemehuevi, who had inhabited the area for centuries. People of the Hopi and Navajo Tribes were relocated to the reservation in later years.
