Formula does not need to be warmed. If you want to, place the bottle of prepared formula in a container of warm (not boiling) water, or run it under the warm tap for a little while. Always test formula by placing a drop on your wrist to make sure it isn't too hot. Never to use a microwave to heat formula.

Use distilled or purified water in place of well water. You may use city water or regular bottled drinking water to make formula if you boil it first as outlined below.

It's best not to wash the scoop in order to avoid accidentally introducing moisture to the tin of formula if the scoop doesn't dry properly. If the scoop gets dirty you'll obviously have to wash it, and ideally sterilize it, so it pays to take care not to allow it to become dirty.

Boiled Water You should always boil water to make powdered formula milk, whatever age your baby is. Once your baby is over 6 months old you can give them tap water to drink, but be sure to use distilled cooled water for formula.
