BinH (Barbershop in Harmony) is a collaboration between the three barbershop organisations in Great Britain, BABS, LABBS and SA R31 to encourage and promote barbershop singing.

Write in the basic harmonization: Tenor and lead are written an octave up from where sung; baritone and bass are written where sung. Write one chord (all four parts) at a time; be conscious of ease of voice-leading (e.g., the previous and following notes for each part). Leave room to write in swipes and echoes later.

In barbershop, the melody is usually sung in the second-highest voice part, which we call the “lead.” A high tenor (often a falsetto voice) sings simple harmonies above that melody. The lowest voice, the bass, sings the simpler low harmonies, and a baritone fills in the tricky stuff above and below the melody.

The original name SPEBSQSA was intended as a lampoon on Roosevelt's New Deal alphabet agencies. Because of the name's length and the difficult-to-pronounce acronym, society staff and members often refer to SPEBSQSA as The Society.

Barbershop music is sung in four-part harmony. The melody of the song is sung by the Lead voice. The Tenor voice sings the harmony part higher than the melody. The Bass voice sings the lowest notes in the chord. The Baritone voice sings those notes which are needed to fill out the chord.

Notable past quartets include Keepsake, Max Q, Metropolis, Platinum and Rounders. While their involvement within the Barbershop Harmony Society is impressive, all four members have been or currently are performers at Walt Disney World with the Dapper Dans of Main St. USA and/or the Voices of Liberty.
