Any resident wishing to hold a garage sale, tag sale or basement sale in this small, well‐todo community must apply at the Village Clerk's office at least 10 days in advance and pay a $15 permit fee.

A Stoop Line Stand license is required for a business to sell fruits, vegetables, soft drinks, flowers, confectionary, or ice cream from a stand outside of and directly adjacent to an existing retail establishment. The New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) issues this license.

A permit is not required.
