The first step in forming an IEEE Student Branch is to complete the online Petition Form. You will need to have faculty and department support as well as signatures of at least twelve (12) active IEEE Student and/or Graduate Student Members.

The IEEE Member and Geographic Activities Board (MGA Board) is responsible to the IEEE Board of Directors, has oversight of IEEE geographic organizational units, and is responsible for IEEE membership and member development.

MGA Goals Increase member engagement and grow membership. Improve relationships with and among members. Enhance collaboration and cooperation with and among IEEE organizational units and external organizations. Support and encourage local geographic units in providing services and value to IEEE members.
