The State Fire Protection Services Program - Act 833 of 1991 is to provide funding for improvements to qualified fire departments and is not intended to fund the daily operational funding for fire departments. All expenditures using Act 833 funds must be directly related to firefighting capabilities.

July 31, 2007; Acts of 2009, Act 808, § 1, eff. July 31, 2009. Certified fire departments and their firefighters shall have the authority to do all acts reasonably necessary to extinguish fires and protect life and property from fire.

The NWARFA consists of 10 weeks of training meeting the standard requirements of the NFPA 1001 and the Arkansas Fire Academy, and another two weeks of instruction with Rogers Fire Department Training Division Staff to ensure the recruit is ready to deploy from RFD fire apparatus.
