The PP Stamp is our authorization for the fabrication and assembly of pressure piping both at our manufacturing facility and in the field. The S Stamp is our approval to manufacture and assemble power boilers both at our manufacturing facility and in the field.

The ASME stamp allows manufacturers to fabricate ASME-compliant pressure retaining parts, power boilers, and power piping. Like the U and U2 stamps, it requires a quality assurance program that meets the standards outlined in the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.

ASME Stamp means the symbol used to designate that the container has been built to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Divisions 1 or 2, Rules for the Construction of Unfired Pressure Vessels.

ASME Certification Process Review relevant information about the desired certification program on ASME's website. Decide on scope of work that will be certified by ASME. Obtain required standards. Enter into an agreement with an Authorized Inspection Agency () if required by the applicable standard.

“PP” Stamp certification authorizing the welding, fitting, manufacture and installing of piping and components that attach to external piping used for power boilers and pressure vessels. The Power Piping (PP) Stamp is governed by ASME Code section B31.

A U2 Vessel Stamp means it meets the standards for Section VIII Division 2 Alternative Rules. The ASME U2 stamp is for unfired pressure vessels not built to ASME section 8 div. 1 standards, but under the alternative rules, has been inspected and found to comply with acceptable construction methods.

ASME Section VIII is the section of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) that covers pressure vessels. It specifically refers to the pressure vessels that operate at pressures, either internal or external, that exceed 15 psig. ASME Section I covers steam applications on fired vessels (boilers).
