The Epilepsy Management Plan (EMP) (or Seizure Management Plan, if stipulated by the treating doctor) documents the student's seizure description and what to do in the event of a seizure, the impact of seizures on the student and the post-seizure support required.

Primary school aged children and young people (6 years+) require support to manage their epilepsy in school in line with the Children and Families Act 2014. In secondary school, students will be largely independent but may require intermittent support.
