Anything over 75,000 miles falls under this category. However, 75,000 miles of stop-and-go traffic wears more quickly than 75,000 highway miles.

The high mileage award was started in the 1960's in order to recognize the vehicles still on the road that had surpassed the 100K mile mark, some even reaching an outstanding 1 million miles.

The BMW Motorrad program provides cloisonné medallions acknowledging the achievements of 100,000 through 900,000 lifetime miles, in 100,000-mile increments. Access to this awards program begins with your local dealer.

At the completion of each 100,000 miles ridden on BMWs, we are pleased to present a special award and certificate to the rider. If you qualify for this distinction, stop by with records of your motorcycles, the VIN for each, and the mileage you've put on them.
