One of the essential points of a power of attorney is the document signing. It must be signed by the person issuing authority to someone else, and the signing of the document must be 'witnessed' by a Notary Public in the South-Africa.

A Special Power of Attorney may be used where a person needs to give someone else authority to perform a specific transaction, or to conduct or oversee a particular activity on their behalf.

Call the SARS Contact Centre on 0800 00 7277 and select option 0 (zero). A SARS official will book the appointment on your behalf. Send an SMS to 47277 (iSARS) with this information and format: Booking (Space) ID number/Passport number/ Asylum Seeker number.
