Leave Travel Concession (LTC) is granted to Central Government employees for travel to various parts of the country and home as well. The number of home travel visits allowed are two. This is made available every four years. One of the hometown visits can be substituted with an "All India visit", if needed.

Under rule 24-A of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants' Conduct Rules, 1973, 'No Objection Certificate' is granted to Government Servants to apply for grant or renewal of passport or for undertaking trip to foreign countries.

Apply for LTC Applications should be routed through the controlling authority of the concerned officer and submitted to their respective Administrative departments at least 30 days before the start date of journey. Purpose of the visit along with intended place of visit must be specifically indicated.
