Royal Palm Beach Community High School has been educating students in Royal Palm Beach since 1997. Royal Palm Beach High is home to students in 9th through the 12th grade.

Adequate vision and hearing are paramount to educational performance. Impaired vision and/or hearing in children can seriously impede learning and contribute to the development of educational, emotional and behavioral problems. Early discovery and treatment can prevent or at least alleviate many of these problems.

Vision and hearing are the main senses we use to learn about, and interact with, our environment. They are distance senses, allowing us to experience and enjoy the world without the need to get up close to people and objects.

Sight and vision help to connect people with their surroundings. Our world is filled with an extreme variety of colors, shapes, and patterns. Sight gives us the ability to perceive movement, and vision gives us the ability to make assessments about that movement.

Healthy eyes and ears — along with joints, muscles, and brain — help keep you steady on your feet, reducing your risk of falling. It's pretty obvious that seeing your best helps you stay upright, but many people do not realize that the inner ear also plays an important role in maintaining balance.

Your vision and hearing are linked in ways you may not suspect. Both of these senses are processed by your brain to allow a total perception of your environment. The eyes and ears are physically linked by nerve pathways responsible for vestibulo-ocular reflex or VOR.
