SYEP is a six (6) week-long program operating during the summer months of July and August.

Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) provides New York City youth between the ages of 14 and 24 with paid summer employment for up to six weeks in July and August. Participants work in a variety of entry-level jobs in the nonprofit and private sectors.

Participants can earn up to $700 stipend that will be paid weekly based on youth attendance and participation.

HOW WILL I BE PAID? Participants will earn the New York State minimum wage of $15.00 an hour and may work up to 25 hours per week for six weeks in July and August. Participants are paid weekly with a debit card or with Direct Deposit to a bank account of their choice.

The goal of the MAP to $uccess is based on agency partnerships that help young people to navigate life's challenges and empower them through a project /work-based lens. Eligibility Requirement: Must be a resident of the five boroughs of NYC. Legally allowed to work in the United States.

If you worked through the Summer Youth Employment Program, list the name of the site where you worked. DO NOT list SYEP or the Community Based Organization that referred you to your worksite.
