Kaurna Meyunna are the Aboriginal people of the Adelaide region. Kaurna Meyunna Yerta the Kaurna peoples' traditional tribal land, or Country, extends from Cape Jervis to the south of Adelaide to Crystal Brook to the north, and from the Mount Lofty Ranges to the coast of Gulf Saint Vincent.

Before you start, Participants will be divided into six small groups to represent the South Australian Aboriginal groups: Pitjantjatjara/Yankunytjatjara, Kaurna, Narungga, Ngarrindjeri, Kookatha and Adnyamathanha.

Organisations. The Kaurna Aboriginal Community and Heritage Association (KACHA) is recognised as the representative body for all Kaurna people.

We would like to acknowledge this land that we meet on today which is the traditional land for Kaurna people, and that we respect their spiritual relationships with their country. We would like to acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the lands and waters of the Adelaide region, on which we meet today.

There are still many people living on the Fleurieu who claim Kaurna ancestral heritage. Closer to Lake Albert and Lake Alexandrina, lived the Ngarrindjeri people. Their lands included the areas around Goolwa, Hindmarsh Island, Point Macleay and other places.

Nunkuwarrin Yunti means 'Working Together – Doing Right Together' and proclaims our belief of one community sharing a united vision for the future.
