Florida legislature passes bill allowing carry of concealed weapons without a permit. The Florida Senate gave final passage to a bill Thursday that will allow people to carry a concealed weapon in public without a government-issued permit, a top priority of Gov. Ron DeSantis.

As long as the primary function of the Florida establishment is food service, you can lawfully possess your licensed concealed firearm in the restaurant. The only place that possessing your licensed concealed firearm in the restaurant is restricted is in the bar section of the restaurant.

Concealed carry is legal for residents with a Florida CWL and for non-residents with a CCW permit from a state that Florida honors. The Florida CWL allows holders of the license to carry not only a handgun but also other weapons such as electronic weapons, tear gas guns, billie clubs and knives.
