To obtain a certified record check, fingerprint submission is required. When a name and date of birth check matches another individual, fingerprints will be required to verify your identity. You can obtain a criminal record check online or in-person at our office.

MyCRC connects to the Canadian Police Information Centre and other police databases to search for criminal records and background checks.

Federal processing fees: The federal processing fee is CDN$ 25 for each criminal record check, however, the federal fee is waived in some cases (see the table below). The federal fee is collected by the police service or accredited fingerprint company taking your fingerprints.

How to obtain a Criminal Record Check from the Edmonton Police Service. Applications for Police Information Check (also referred to as Security Clearance or Criminal Records Check) can be completed at any Edmonton Police Service (EPS) divisional or community station, although application processing will take longer.

Obtaining a Police information check Driver's Licence (Interim operator's licence NOT valid ID) Alberta Photo Identification Card (Issued through Registry Agent Offices) Passport. Permanent Residence Card (ONLY instance where ID with an expired date is acceptable)

Enclose a certified cheque or money order for $76 made payable to the 'City of Edmonton'. If additional Police Information Checks are required, please enclose an additional $76 for each application.

This process may take from 7 to 30 days, or longer if you require confirmation of findings.
