Get Space Camp Alabama Cost

Our weeklong student Camp programs are for anyone age 9 – 18. Our family programs require at least 1 adult aged 18 year or older and at least 1 child aged 7-18 years of age to be registered together for camp. You may register more than 1 family member in each age group but must have a minimum of 1 adult and 1 child.

We discourage cell phones and other electronic devices. We understand you will miss your camper while he or she is attending our program. However, we discourage visits while camp is in session so that your child may have a true “away-from-home” and immersive experience.

12-to-14 year-olds attend “Space Academy;” 15-to-18 year-olds attend “Advanced Space Academy.” Each different program increases the complexity and educational impact for attendees as they age, so future astronauts (enthusiastic children) can attend every level if they want.

Space Camp welcomes children ages 9-11. The 9-year-olds must have completed or be currently enrolled in the 4th grade. Space Academy focuses on children 12-14 years of age.

Camp sessions are available for students entering second through ninth grade for one session in spring and multiple sessions in summer June through August.

Throughout the week, students are immersed in astronaut training techniques using equipment adapted from NASA's astronaut program. They learn about space hardware, enjoy an educational water activity and experience a spaceflight mission while learning about aerospace career opportunities.

Prices for 2022 are as follows. For children ages 9-11, the 6 day Space Camp program is $1,299. For children aged 12-14, the 6-day Space Academy program costs $1,299. For children aged 15-18, the Advanced Space Academy is $1,499 for a 6 day program.
