The United States Air Force, (USAF), one of the major components of the United States armed forces, with primary responsibility for air warfare, air defense, and the development of military space research. The Air Force also provides air services in coordination with the other military branches.

This Air Force Instruction (AFI) implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 1, Air Force Culture, and provides specific guidance on required standards of conduct, performance, and discipline.

AFI 36-2650 establishes guidance and training procedures for personnel assigned to aircraft, munitions, and missile maintenance organizations throughout the AF.

“Principles of Instruction (POI) is a two-week course that teaches people from all over the base, of all jobs, how to instruct so that they can teach in house courses, conduct a competent briefing to higher-ups and really hone their public speaking skills,” said Staff Sgt.
