How do I update my legal name at UWM? Students: You can change the name that appears on your academic record by filling out a Student Record Data Change Form at the Registrar's Office Information Center, Mellencamp Hall 274.

To be granted credit for a credit/no credit course, a student must earn a grade of “C-” or better. The credits will be counted toward total degree credits earned but will not affect a student's grade point average.

Contact the Registrar's Office via our online form at any time with questions. Most often, transfer credit comes through course credit earned at other institutions. UWM maintains over 90,000 (and counting) transfer equivalencies in our system from public and private institutions across the country.

All student positions are limited to 25 hours per week during the academic year and to 40 hours per week during summer. Most employees work between 15-25 hours per week.

A maximum of 72 semester credits can be transferred from a single or combination of Associate's Degree/2-year institutions. There is no maximum number of semester credits that can be transferred from a 4-year university.
