27. —[F2(1) An award of universal credit is to include an amount in respect of the fact that a claimant has limited capability for work and work-related activity (“the LCWRA element”).]

Regulation 28 states that an element may be payable in the assessment period 3 months following 'the first day on which the claimant provides evidence of their having limited capability for work in ance with the Medical Evidence Regulations'.

28. —(1) An award of universal credit is not to include the LCW or LCWRA element until the beginning of the assessment period that follows the assessment period in which the relevant period ends.

Universal Credit will be calculated based on 30% of the maximum postgraduate or postdoctoral loan. If you fail to apply for the maximum postgraduate loan you're entitled to, it will usually be treated as if you get the loan and your Universal Credit will be calculated on that amount.
