The California Toll Operators Committee (CTOC) is a collaborative organization composed of California's toll facility operators/owners. CTOC is the primary resource for interoperability and coordination among tolling facilities, and education and advocacy regarding tolling in California.

FasTrak is the preferred method of payment on The Toll Roads. It allows drivers to easily pay tolls electronically on every tolled bridge, lane and road in California.

You can use FasTrak anywhere in California where the FasTrak logo is displayed. In the Bay Area, you can use FasTrak on all toll bridges. In Southern California, you can use FasTrak on toll roads and express lanes. For more information on where to use your FasTrak tag, visit the FasTrak Toll Locations page.

If you use an express lane without a valid FasTrak toll tag, you will receive a violation notice. The following is a schedule of toll evasion penalties: First notice issued: $25 penalty. Second (delinquent) notice issued: $70 ($25 penalty plus $45 late fee).

The toll system is fully electronic. Roadside equipment recognizes the FasTrak tag, records the transaction and transmits the information to the FasTrak Customer Service Center to automatically deduct the toll from the account holder's prepaid balance.
