Electric vehicles (excluding hybrids) can park free of charge without displaying a parking ticket in any Council operated parking space in Waterford, Dungarvan and Tramore. Electric and Hybrid vehicles can park free of charge while charging at any charging point. All vehicles must be moved once the charge is complete.

This takes in to account the cost for a first and second permit in Bath, and the cost in Keynsham which is lower. In Bath, residents fork out £100 for 12 months or £60 for six months for the first permit and the second costs £160 for 12 months or £90 for six months.

The base price of a residents' parking permit would remain at £100 a year with a second permit costing £160. Under the proposals four out of ten existing permits would continue to cost this amount. Charges for higher polluting vehicles would increase by 5% for each subsequent emissions band.

It will involve householders registering an account that will allow them to buy time for their visitors by telephone, online or a mobile phone app. Our Civil Enforcement Officers will then use a handheld device with recognition software to confirm that the visiting vehicle is covered by a valid parking session.

Resident parking permits are provided at NO CHARGE for qualified residents. All outstanding City of Boston parking tickets must be paid before applying for a resident parking permit. Once applied online, it might take upto 10 days to receive your parking permit.

Eligible residents in Bath Zones (excluding the Central Zone) and Keynsham Zones are entitled to a maximum of 1000 visitor hours OR where applicable 100 x 1 day paper permits.
