Direct admission is a new program slowly gaining popularity among colleges. Rather than submit college applications, high schoolers make a profile that is authenticated by their high school guidance counselor and sent to participating colleges.

Emergency Admit: probably the most common route of admission is via the emergency department (abbreviated ED; hospitals don't like to call it an 'emergency room' anymore, it is now considered a 'department'). Typically, you will go to the ED with some symptom (e.g., pain, difficulty breathing, bleeding).

If you're offered direct admission, you can: Declare a major in the College and begin your studies as an official College student at the start of your freshman year. Declare a second major or a minor in your first semester. Work with an advisor who is a specialist in your major as soon as you arrive at IU.

Under direct admission, you can secure a seat in your desired academic program directly, based on predetermined eligibility criteria. This streamlined approach simplifies the application process and saves you from the uncertainties and anxieties associated with the traditional admission process.

Direct Admission Hospitalization Direct admission would occur after the patient has seen or spoken to their doctor, who feels they must admit them to the hospital for immediate medical care.

In direct admission, soon-to-be high school graduates can be accepted into a college or university without having to submit an application. This often happens during a student's senior year of high school, but some colleges make these offers during junior year.

Standard Admission If you don't qualify for direct admission, or if you're currently a student at IUPUI, you can apply to Kelley once you've met the requirements for Option 1 or Option 2 admission. For fall admission, apply to IUPUI by May 1. For spring admission, apply to IUPUI by November 1.
