The Arrow of Light is the highest award in Cub Scouts and can be earned as a Webelos. The Arrow of Light is the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout Uniform.

Cub Scouts who join a pack are assigned to dens with ideally six to eight members, usually based on age: Lion Scouts (kindergarten), Tiger Scouts (first grade), Wolf Scouts (second grade), Bear Scouts (third grade), and Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth grades).

In 2012, The BSA announced that the Scout Oath and the Scout Law would be used for Cub Scouts and Venturing. Previously, these were only used in the Boy Scout (Scouts BSA) program. These replaced the Cub Scout Promise and the Law of the Pack as well as the Venturing Oath and Venturing Code.

Cubmaster's Key This award is for Cub Scout adult leaders with three years' tenure—including at least two years as Cubmaster—who have completed training and other performance requirements. The Cubmaster's Key is also a great way to incorporate a succession plan for Cubmaster.
