Get T4rif Form

On the left navigation menu, click the Government slips tab, then Smart Search. In the search field, type T4RIF and either click the highlighted selection or press Enter to continue. When you arrive at the T4RIF page, enter your information into the tax software.

W2 Form – Wage & Tax Statement Canadian Equivalent is T4 slip. W2 form is issued to anyone that is employed in the USA, residents or non-residents. Employment income will be issued on the T4 and your residency status will be indicated in box 10 (as “zz”).

You should receive most of your slips (including your T4, T4A, and T5 slips) and receipts by the end of February. However, T3, and T5013 slips do not have to be sent before the end of March. To get your Old age security (OAS), employment insurance (EI) or Canada Pension Plan (CPP) slips, sign in to Service Canada.

No matter what you call it, the T4 is a tax document that summarizes how much you've earned over the past year. Your T4 slip will also show any required deductions, such as employment insurance premiums or income tax, made by your employer.

Generally, you need to fill out a T4 slip if you are an employer (resident or non-resident) and you paid your employees employment income, commissions, taxable allowances and benefits, fishing income, or any other remuneration.
