Contact your council for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) if you want to carry out a 'licensable activity' on unlicensed premises in England or Wales. Licensable activity includes: selling alcohol. serving alcohol to members of a private club.

It is a notice given by an individual (a premises user) and authorises the premises user to conduct one or more licensable activities at premises for no more than 168 hours. TENs can be used to authorise relatively small-scale ad hoc events held in or on any premises involving less than 500 people at any one time.

The length of time an event can last; no more than 168 hours (7 days) The number of times a temporary event notice may be given for any particular premises; cannot exceed 15 times per calendar year.

Event Notice means a notice from Party A to Party B (which may be given orally or in writing, including by electronic means) specifying the occurrence of a Trigger Event.
