CMA was started by Herb Shreve, an Arkansas pastor who purchased a motorcycle to close the generation gap with his rebellious son. He began evangelizing motorcycle rallies, and in 1975, he resigned from his church to start CMA.

The Christian Motorcyclists Association is interdenominational and evangelistic in nature. We believe in: The Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God. One God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Hells Angels are the largest, most organized, and wealthiest outlaw motorcycle gang in the world.
