To be eligible for a TEXAS Grant award, a student must: Have financial need, as determined by the institution. Be enrolled at least 3/4 time. Not have earned a baccalaureate degree. Not have been convicted of a felony or crime involving a controlled substance.

The Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG) Program provides grant assistance toward educational costs to residents of Georgia seeking Degrees as Full-Time students at Private Eligible Postsecondary Institutions.

Be enrolled in an eligible institution in Texas in a degree plan leading to a first associate, baccalaureate, master's, professional, or doctoral degree (excluding degree plans that are intended to lead to religious ministry) Be enrolled at least 3/4 time.

For the 2023-24 academic year: An eligible student may receive up to $5,379 per semester. There are four different pathways by which a student can receive an initial award, as well as four different high school graduation requirements.

Award Range The maximum award for the 2023-24 academic year is $3,873. Undergraduate students with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of less than or equal to 3,328 may receive up to $5,810.

Initial Year TEXAS Grant Criteria To be eligible for an initial award, you must: Be classified as a Texas resident. Demonstrate financial need. Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) less than or equal to $6,234.

At the end of the first academic year, a student must meet SAP requirements set by the institution to be eligible for a first RY award. At the end of the second academic year, and all subsequent years, a student must have completed 24 SCHs and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or its equivalent.
