About TNCC This course, taught by qualified nurses, prepares you with the knowledge, critical thinking skills and training needed to provide high-quality trauma nursing care.

Full Course (18.25 CE) One or 1.5 days of instructor-led virtual class, virtual skills testing, and an online exam. This version requires a completion of pre-course modules. Attendees will receive a 4-year verification. Full Course is ideal for first time TNCC attendees and RNs interested in a Trauma refresher course.

Those who pass the exam, testing stations, and class are issued a 4-year TNCC certification. In addition, continuing Education Credit will be issued to all attendees who complete the program from ENA.

Live, in-person or virtual classroom learning includes skill stations, group discussion and other interactive exercises. Electronic testing: Electronic open-book testing enables you to test in an environment that makes you most comfortable. No more test anxiety!

On successful completion of this testing the participant will receive a TNCC verification card which is valid for 4 years.

What Is TNCC Certification? TNCC stands for Trauma Nursing Core Course, which is put out by the Emergency Nurses Association. This intense course is typically not designated for new graduates.

The skills challenge has a ~20% fail rate, so students who wish to pursue this option need to be extremely comfortable with the Trauma Nursing Process (TNP). After the completion of the course, the ENA will award students with 3 CNE hours and a 4-year certificate as a TNCC provider.
