Emissions Requirements. Vehicles registered in Utah County with model years less than six years old are required to have an emission test once every two years.

A vehicle may qualify for a waiver if it has: failed at least two emissions inspections. received emissions-related repairs from a recognized repair facility. fulfills all other waiver requirements.

Utah County Emissions Rules Cars and trucks 6 model years old or newer require an inspection every two years, and cars older than six model years but newer than 1967 require yearly inspection. Anything older than the model year 1967 requires no inspection.
