The College Work Study Program (CWSP) is administered by the Department of Education and provides part-time employment for undergraduate, graduate and professional students who desire to continue their education but are in financial need. They do not need to be in a law or pre-law curriculum.

Our office works in partnership with the University of South Carolina Career Center to support students looking for work-study programs and part-time employment. We also help employers connect with dedicated student workers.

More than two-thirds of our undergraduates receive some sort of financial aid, including need-based grants, merit scholarships, Federal Work-Study and loans.

Federal Work-Study and Other Employment The program encourages community-service work and work related to a student's course of study. Most of these jobs are on campus, but some opportunities are also available with local nonprofit agencies.

The Work-Study Program encourages part-time employment to reduce loan debt while attending UCLA. The Work-Study Program pays for a portion of your salary. This makes it easier for an employer to hire you. Any money earned doing work-study does NOT count against your aid eligibility for the next academic year.
