Adobe Acrobat Reader software is the free, trusted global standard for viewing, printing, signing, sharing, and annotating PDFs. It's the only PDF viewer that can open and interact with all types of PDF content – including forms and multimedia.

Adobe Acrobat for Chrome x and Adobe Reader 10. x ended on November 15, 2015.

The Adobe Acrobat X family was a line of computer programs, initially released on on November 15, 2010 by Adobe Systems for viewing, editing and creating PDF files. It was succeeded by the Adobe Acrobat XI family. Technical support ended on November 15, 2015.

Right-click on the thumbnail of any PDF file. On the menu, click Get Info. Navigate to the “Open With:” section and select Adobe Acrobat DC or Reader from the dropdown list.

Acrobat X is not compatible with Windows 10, much less so with Windows 11. That doesn't mean it won't work, but it does mean that it's unsupported by Adobe and that problems are to be expected.

Choose Acrobat/Reader > Preferences. In the Categories on the left, click General. In the Application Startup section, deselect Show Welcome Screen.

Overview. Beginning in June 2022, Computing and Technology Services (CTS) ended support for Acrobat versions X, XI and 2015 DC and notified users to remove or upgrade to a supported version. As of November 2022, Acrobat 2017 is now an unsupported version.
