A due diligence checklist is an organized way to analyze a company. The checklist will include all the areas to be analyzed, such as ownership and organization, assets and operations, the financial ratios, shareholder value, processes and policies, future growth potential, management, and human resources.

You're at least 18 years old or have a qualifying child. Have earned income of at least $1.00 and not more that $30,000. Have a valid Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) for you, your spouse, and any qualifying children.

All of the following are requirements for a Tax Professional to meet the due diligence knowledge requirement EXCEPT: Verification and proof of relationships claimed.

You must have earned income from employment, self-employment, or employer-paid disability benefits received prior to retirement. You must have a Social Security Number valid for employment. You cannot file your taxes as “married filing separately.” If you're married, you must file a joint tax return.

You may be eligible for a California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) up to $3,417 for tax year 2022 as a working family or individual earning up to $30,000 per year. You must claim the credit on the 2022 FTB 3514 form, California Earned Income Tax Credit, or if you e-file follow your software's instructions.

Have an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) on your 2020 CA tax return, that is: If filing as Head of household, qualifying widow(er), Married/Registered Domestic Partner (RDP) filing jointly: $500,000 or less. If filing as Single or Married/Registered Domestic Partner (RDP) filing separately: $250,000 or less.

To claim the California EITC, even if you do not owe California taxes, you must file a California income tax return and complete and attach the California EITC Form (FTB 3514).

The most common reasons people don't qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit, or EIC, are as follows: Their AGI, earned income, and/or investment income is too high. They have no earned income. They're using Married Filing Separately.
