Undergraduate Admissions SDSU accepts applications between October 1 and November 30 for admission the following fall.

An incomplete application status indicates further action is required by the applicant. Graduate Admissions Evaluation*: Admission file is complete and being evaluated by Graduate Admissions to determine if the applicant has met the minimum SDSU requirements for admission.

SDSU uses the California State University common admission application through the Cal State Apply website. The application requires a $70 fee that is non-refundable and may not be transferred to another term.

Note: In alignment with the California State University (CSU) system, SDSU no longer uses SAT or ACT exam scores from first-year applicants for determining admission eligibility.

San Diego State University uses the CSU common admission application, Cal State Apply. Please keep the following items in mind before you complete and submit your application: Application Fee - A nonrefundable filing fee of $70 must accompany your application.

Undergraduate applications are NOT accepted after November 30 (postmarked).

Transfer Admission Requirements - You must meet the following minimum requirements by the end of summer 2023 prior to enrolling at SDSU for the spring 2024 semester to be considered for admission: Complete a minimum of 60 or more transferable semester (or 90 or more quarter) units.
