The law allows a student to enroll in any public school in the state that has not reached capacity. In addition, a transfer student is eligible immediately to join an existing team if all other eligibility criteria are met, ing to the law.

If you choose to appeal, submit your completed appeal packet directly to the Office of Enrollment. A complete appeal packet includes this Student Transfer Appeal form, your written statement and supporting documents. For all school issues an attempt to resolve must be made at the base school.

Contact the School Registrar and request a Student Withdrawal Form for your Student. Please sign and date it at the bottom and return it to the Registrar. Your Student's teachers/staff will sign-off on the Withdrawal Form when you return your child's computer, textbooks, and any other borrowed school items.

Parents should enroll their children at their zoned school (Find my school zone). If you have moved to Knox County Schools you should go to your zoned school and complete the Enrollment/Emergency Form and other school specific paperwork.

Florida has unrestricted open enrollment for public school. What this means is that you can send your child to any public school in Florida, regardless of where you live or where the school is located. Each school must post information about capacity and how to apply on its website.

For issuing a transfer certificate, you will have to write a school transfer application addressing the principal of your school and stating the reason behind leaving the school. The documents required are the admission letter from the current school and the admission acceptance letter from the new school or branch.
