You can find the filing fee for Form I-485 by visiting our Fee Schedule page. You can pay the fee with a money order, personal check, cashier's check, or pay by credit card or debit card using Form G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions.

You must pay for each application, petition, or request you submit using a single payment method (check, money order, or credit card) and not a combination of methods. You may pay both the filing fee and biometric services fee (if applicable) with one payment method.

Form I-485 cost The government filing fee for an I-485 application is $1440. In some situations, the fee for an I-485 might be lower or waived entirely (see the filing fee section of the I-485 instructions for details).

Use Form G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions, to pay the filing fee and biometric services fee (if applicable) for an application, petition, or request that you are filing with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by credit card.

Security. We use the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Pay.gov Trusted Collections Service to process your credit card payment. Trusted Collections Service is a web-based application that allows government agencies to process debit or credit card payments.

USCIS reviews the request for a refund and either approves or denies the request based on the available information. If the officer finds USCIS made an error, the officer should complete a Request for Refund of Fee (Form G-266). USCIS then notifies the requestor of its decision on the request.

You may pay for your N-400, Application for Naturalization, using a credit card. There is no additional fee to pay with your credit card. The N-400 is the only form that can be paid for by credit card using the G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transaction.
