California has more relaxed “Family Visiting” rules. You still have to be in an established relationship prior to incarceration but marriage isn't mandatory. They allow visits from legal spouses as well as registered domestic partners. Other “immediate family” may also qualify.

State prisons For prisoners in state custody, the availability of conjugal visits is governed by the law of the particular state. The four states that currently allow conjugal visits are California, Connecticut, New York, and Washington.

For example, California is one of a handful of states that still allow extended family visits — often known as conjugal visits — which are overnight visits available to eligible inmates and their immediate family members. (Oklahoma doesn't have conjugal visits.)

Submit your Visitation Application via one of the following ways: Mail to the Classification Department at the inmate's current location (see the Statewide Facility Directory for address information). If the inmate is in the reception process, you cannot apply for visitation.

How do I visit an inmate in Oklahoma? Visitors must present valid state issued photo ID, pass security screening, and are subject to physical search at any time. You will be checked for criminal records and warrants before being allowed to visit.

Inmate residents may list up to five visitors, three of whom must be immediate family. Only those names on the list and who have approval by the detention center may receive visits. Out-of-state visits are reserved for immediate family only.
