If a student fails to meet renewal criteria when grades and hours are reported to the State at the end of the Spring term, a student may be able to attend summer semester in order to attempt a restoration of their scholarship for the next academic year.

It all depends on the other scholarships or payment plans you have. For example if you have Florida Pre-Paid and it covers most of your tuition you can except a pretty hefty refund. Only downside of the refunds is that it usually takes about 2 weeks into the semester to hit.

Graduated Repayment. The loan term is 12 to 30 years, depending on the total amount borrowed. The monthly payment can be no less than 50% and no more than 150% of the monthly payment under the standard repayment plan.

If I drop a course, am I responsible for repaying Bright Futures? What about the Benacquisto Scholarship program? Students who drop a course will have to repay Bright Futures and potentially might not meet renewal criteria for their scholarship if they fall below a certain number of credit hours for the academic year.

Earn all credits paid by your Bright Futures scholarship. Credits paid must equal credits earned. If you drop, withdraw from, retake, fail, or otherwise do not earn credit for classes, be prepared to repay for those courses by the deadline.
