The Dean's Scholarship at Syracuse University is awarded on an annual basis. Recipients will need to meet certain academic criteria to maintain their scholarship for the subsequent year, including maintaining a GPA of at least 2.75 and adhering to the university's standards of academic integrity and progress.

The Martin Scholars Program is housed in the Honors College in order to support high-achieving students with the highest level of financial need and provides the recipients with the following: Ability to pursue academic excellence and personal development without the burden of how to pay for school.

Students who receive a University-funded scholarship must maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 and complete at least 12 credits per semester to continue eligibility.

The Scholars. The Kessler Scholars are a close-knit community of well-rounded, talented students who identify as first-generation, or the first in their immediate family to go to college. Each year, Syracuse University selects 15–20 incoming first-generation students to join the Kessler Scholars Program.

Merit-based aid, also called non-need-based aid, is awarded for a specific talent or academic achievement. The average non-need-based scholarship or grant awarded to first-year students at Syracuse University – excluding any athletic scholarships, if applicable – was $12,760.
