The Transition to Teaching (T2T) Program at IU South Bend is an alternative route-to-licensure program designed for mid-career professionals with a bachelor's degree who want to become licensed teachers in the state of Indiana. The rigorous, field-based program is most appropriate for mid-career changers.

Degree Requirements A minimum cumulative and semester GPA of 2.000 is required for the B.S. degrees. In addition, a SPEA core and major/concentration GPA of 2.300 must be maintained in order to graduate.

3.2 cumulative GPA with a 1170 SAT (including a minimum of 530 on the math component) or a 24 ACT (with a minimum of 21 or higher on the math component). 3.5 cumulative GPA with an Indiana Academic Honors Diploma, Technical Diploma (or out-of-state equivalents).

First-year applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

For regular admission, students must have completed a baccalaureate degree (BA or BS) from an accredited institution with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale.
