Saint Louis University's Presidential Scholarship is a four-year award for exemplary student leaders. This competitive award covers the full cost of tuition for 10 consecutive full-time (up to 18 credit hours) fall and spring semesters.

Each year, up to 161 students are named as Presidential Scholars, one of the nation's highest honors for high school students. As such, being recognized as a Presidential Scholar means you are one of the top graduating high schoolers in the nation, so it's an incredible honor to receive one.

Each year, 161 Presidential Scholars are chosen from across the United States. Initially, each year, around four thousand students are chosen as candidates. Of those candidates, around 650 become semi-finalists, which of course is then narrowed down to a list of 161 winners.

Each 11-month fellowship award carries a $29,500 stipend, 18 hours of tuition scholarship during the regular academic year and three hours during the summer session, and continuous health insurance coverage. Summer attendance is mandatory.

The full-tuition Presidential Scholarship is awarded to a select number of SLU's most qualified freshman applicants. This year, the University will invite approximately 500 students to interview for the Presidential Scholarship during the course of two consecutive weekends.

from what I've heard, 500 people are invited to interview and 25-35 people receive the scholarship.

The 2020-2021 Vice Presidents' Scholarship has a total award value of $92,000. Your award is comprised of a $23,000 academic scholarship for a maximum of four years. Half of the yearly award value will be credited to your fall semester costs; the other half will be credited to your spring semester costs.
