The Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) program helps Albertans with long-term disabilities, chronic illness or terminal illness. The program provides funding for basic medical equipment and supplies so clients can live independently at home and within their communities.

Benefits provided through Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) include: back and abdominal supports. bathing and toileting equipment* burn garments. compression stockings and garments.

Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) provide funding for custom compression stockings for individuals who meet Clinical Etiology Anatomy Pathophysiology (CEAP) criteria C4 or C5, or who have chronic lymphedema (as assessed by a qualified authorizer or as diagnosed by a physician).

There are no income requirements to be eligible for AADL benefits. AADL is a cost-share program. Albertans pay 25% of the benefit cost to a maximum of $500 per individual or family per year. Low-income Albertans and people receiving income assistance do not pay the cost-sharing portion.
