At Michigan State University, admissions decisions are continually released all year-long, also known as rolling admissions. This means that eight to twelve weeks after the admissions committee receives all of a student's application materials, the Office of Admissions will send a response to that applicant.

Applying to Sewanee is about as straightforward as it can be. We have no application fee, we've been test-optional since 2009, and we meet the full demonstrated need of all admitted first-year students who qualify for financial aid.

Admission details Sewanee's test-optional admission policy allows students to choose to submit their ACT scores, their SAT scores, or no scores at all. You will select your preferred testing plan on the Common Application, in the specific University of the South question section.

ED II Applicants will recieve their decision before January 30. 🗓️ The Early Action deadline is December 1. Sewanee will release EA admissions decisions no later than January 30. The early decision acceptance rate at Sewanee is 72%, compared to an overall acceptance rate of 60%.

Sewanee enrolls transfer students twice a year. For students interested applying for transfer for a January start, the priority deadline is Nov. 1. For students interested applying for transfer for an August start, the priority deadline is June 1.
