--(1) Any party aggrieved by any decision or order of the Appellate Tribunal may file an appeal to the High Court within a period of sixty days from the date of communication of the decision or order of the Appellate Tribunal to him on any question of law arising out of such order.

The Limitation Act, 1963, however, provides the period of filing up appeals. It states that the appeals against a decree or order can be filed in a High Court within ninety days and in any other court in thirty days from the date of the decree or order appealed against.

GROUNDS OF AN APPEAL. An appeal under the Civil Procedure Code can be made under the following grounds: A decision has already been made by a judicial or administrative authority. And such an appeal is filed as an appellate court. The law does not always provide the right to appeal. Only in some instances can an appeal get filed in a specific manner as mentioned by the law. The Code of Criminal Procedure deals with criminal matters, and the Code of Civil Procedure deals with civil matters.

If the petition is filed against the judgement of the High Court, the time limit is 90 days from the date of judgement/order and if the petition is filed against the order of High Court refusing to grant certificate of fitness for appeal, the time limit is 60 days from the date of order refusing to grant certificate.

Supreme court in its capacity acts as the prime resolver of Federal disputes between central or state or between two or more states. It is the guardian of Fundamental Rights and interpreter of the constitution. It also acts as the highest court of appeal in India.

Appeals can be filed to the Supreme court by filing a petition with the court which enacted the decree, upon which the petition would be heard and disposed of within a period of sixty days. Petitions submitted for this purpose must state the grounds of appeal.
