If you already hold a nursing assistant certification in another state, you can apply to have that certification transferred to Hawaii. In order to qualify to apply to have your certification transferred, you will need to have completed a training program that was approved in your prior state.

If you hold an active Nursing Assistant Certification in another state, you may qualify for certification in Washington by endorsement. Submit application and fee. Provide caregiver employment history from the state you're endorsing from by completing section four of the application.

Transfer CNA Certification Through Endorsement to Oregon Complete all sections of the application for endorsement. Provide a copy of your certificate of completion from the Nursing Assistant training program in your former state.

Complete part one of the Out-of-state Verification Form and send it to the state you are endorsing from. That state will complete section two of the verification form and mail it directly to Washington State. Contact information for other states can be found on the Out of State NAC Registries website.

In Montana, training programs are offered in many community colleges, vocational schools as well as a number of medical facilities and nursing homes. CNA training programs in Montana consist of at least 75 hours of training, including at least 25 hours of hands-on clinical training.

Applicants must complete a minimum of 85 hours of training through a state-approved program. Students who are in a licensed practical nursing or registered nursing program, and who have met the minimum requirement, also qualify. In addition, military medic or corpsman training may meet our requirements.

The CNA 1 program requires 155 hours total—80 hours of classroom and lab time and 75 hours of clinical time. The CNA 2 program is 88 hours total—60 hours of classroom and lab time and 28 hours of clinical time. In general, classes and labs meet for seven hours per day, two to four days per week.

Those with a current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) registration in at least one US State or Territory can apply for Interstate Endorsement in Montana. To apply for Interstate Endorsement, go to the BOUNDS Portal and select the Certified Nurse Aide type and the CNA Interstate Endorsement Application.
