Unpaid Parking Citation Fee Information UConn Student parking citation fines will be posted to the student's Bursar's account if unpaid after 14 days of issuance. The annual UConn parking permits of Regular Payroll employees will not be "renewed" until all their outstanding parking citation fees are paid.

PayByPhone Parking is an easy-to-use mobile parking payment option and here's how it works… Park in a PayByPhone space; enter the posted location number, your license plate number and the amount of time you expect to be parked into the mobile app. That's it! Off you go!

Make a reservation by selecting either our Premier Valet, Premier Self Park or Economy Valet option from our drop down location menu and enter the code UCONN40 in the promo code box.

If you do not currently have a permit, please go to the Parking Portal to purchase any permit you are eligible for. If you currently have a permit and want to exchange it for one of the permits listed above, please contact Parking Services at 860-486-4930.

Storrs campus students with 54 or more earned academic credits and assigned University housing on the Storrs campus are eligible to purchase a Resident parking permit.

Parking in the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage is free for the first 2 hours and then just $1/hour thereafter (daily maximum of $8). Free, on-street parking is available throughout downtown and is time-limited (see map). The Dog Lane lot is free and limited to two hours.

Most visitors to UConn's Storrs campus park in either the North Garage or South Garage, which are open 24 hours per day throughout the calendar year. University permit parking privileges are strictly enforced between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weekdays unless otherwise posted. After 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends, permit holders and all others may park in any on-campus space not designated as reserved, restricted, or limited.

Permits can be purchased online via Pirate Port. Once a permit is sold out, You can join the waitlist on the Parking Portal through Pirate Port. Students will be notified via ECU email when space becomes available.

Fall 2022 = $36.31. Winter 2022 = $24.00. Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 = $72.61. Spring and Summer 2023 = $36.31.

Area 2 permits are moderately priced and provide the broadest selection of parking opportunities on both the Storrs and Regional campuses. Area 2 permit prices are determined by using a sliding salary scale and may be purchased on a sheltered, pretax basis by those eligible for payroll deductions.
