EASA Part 145 is descended from the Joint Airworthiness Authority (JAA) Joint Airworthiness Regulation JAR 145 which was introduced in 1992 and was also harmonized with Federal Airworthiness Authority (FAA) Federal Airworthiness Requirement (FAR 145).

(a) 'Maintenance organisation exposition' means the document or documents that contain the material specifying the scope of work deemed to constitute approval and showing how the organisation intends to comply with this Annex (Part-145).
