The AABE's task is to license accountants, auditors, firms and regulate them. We also adopt and implement internationally accepted auditing standards in Ethiopia. These professionals undertake audits and submit documents to the AABE.

There are no accounting and auditing standards set in Ethiopia. For accounting standards, there is no law or regulation that has set or requires accounting standards in preparation of financial statements.
