- On Line 4, enter the amount of sales and use tax paid indirectly on building materials and supplies as shown on contractors’ statements.
- Complete Line 5 by providing the amount of use tax paid directly to the Department of Revenue by your organization.
- Add the totals from Lines 3, 4, and 5 and enter the result on Line 6. This should represent your total tax due.
- Request your total refund amount by adding the state and county tax shown on Line 6 and enter it on Line 7.
- On Line 8, allocate the total county tax paid corresponding to different tax rates applicable, completing Form E-536R if necessary.
